Some starting points if you feel you need them: Influenza, "Fever" as a disease entity, the nineteenth century concept of "Liver disease" (which... let's say, does not correspond to what a 21st century person would think of as liver disease), headaches, nervous afflictions. Do not feel you need to be constrained by these, I just listed them off the top of my head.

 

Oh, and by all means acknowledge the things that this era managed to get right as well as wrong; I think these are made all the more impressive when you consider how much was still unknown. .

Combeferre:This is a terrible nineteenth-century medicine request, because, like... some day I will tire of terrible nineteenth-century medicine, but it is not this day. I'm creating one for Joly and one for Combeferre because either or both is A-OK; just something about them treating their friends, each other, random strangers or themselves (oh Joly) with some super youtriedstar medical knowhow. Other amis making appearances is in general very much encouraged (don't make Joly endure this without Lesgle), make it as technical or hurt-comforty or both as your personal mileage stretches to. I would like everyone to recover and be safe by the end though. Somehow.

Feuilly: Daringly niche request for a crossover with Channel 4's programme 'The Mill'. I guess this would have to take place two years before the events of Series 1? Or maybe we're talking some sort of barricade survival situation? I don't care I just really want these characters to meet each other or like... correspond or something. Especially everyone's favourite internationalist. :)
