Nominations are now open!

In this exchange, you’ll be matched on which characters you request. I’ve added most of the major and/or popular characters to the exchange’s tagset already, so check before nominating to make sure your favorites aren't already in the tagset.

If there are any characters you’d like to request or offer, you can nominate them starting today and running until Sunday, June 9 at 9 pm EDT, at this link. Each participant can nominate 10 characters. (Note that you’ll need to be logged into your Archive of Our Own account to nominate–if you don’t have an account, you can sign up for one here, and send a message to the mods with which characters you’d like nominated in the meantime)

Nominating characters won’t sign you up for the exchange–i.e., you can nominate even if you’re not yet sure if you want to participate.

Instructions
Once you follow the (not yet posted) link to the nominations page, there will be a field to enter your nominations. If your character already has a canonical tag on AO3, a suggested tag (which you should click) will pop up when you start typing their name.

Characters present in any adaptations are eligible, as are historical figures who would be alive and possibly present in the lives of any canonical Les Mis characters. Characters from other, non-Les Mis characters are not eligible (although you're welcome to request crossovers in your prompts).

A few notes about character tags

1. AO3 can be picky about accents–if you type Thenardier instead of Thénardier for example, it won’t be able to find the character you’re looking for.

2. Even if your character doesn’t have a canonical name, they might still have a character tag! For example, characters like Bahorel’s Laughing Mistress and Gavroche’s brothers have tags even though they don’t have canonical names.

Once you’ve nominated your characters, a moderator will have to approve them, and then they’ll show up in the tag set for the exchange (which you can view here).
